This course builds keyboarding skills in a gradual, practical way. Students start with correct finger placement and posture, then develop typing speed and accuracy through three levels of guided practice.

Keyboarding I introduces essential technique and hand positioning

Keyboarding II strengthens rhythm, consistency, and growing speed

Keyboarding III refines accuracy and prepares students for real-world typing needs

A typing test for certification is available by appointment. Students receive documented words per minute and accuracy, which may support job applications or other program requirements.

For the novice who wants to learn the basic operations of a computer. This course will cover everything from computer vocabulary to creating basic documents with the use of Microsoft Windows, Office and the Internet. 

Designed for students with little to no experience in MS Word. This course covers a basic review of editing, creating letters, labels, tables and more.. Prerequisite: Basic computer skills. 

Learn how to create spreadsheets through formatting and editing, writing basic formulas and functions and creating simple charts and tables. Prerequisite: Basic computer skills.  

Create presentations and review basic formatting, arranging text, work with images, transitions, graphics, animations and other multimedia within a presentation. Prerequisite: Basic computer skills.
